Working across a range of materials and techniques, his creative work has been shown nationally and internationally in over seventy-five exhibitions, including the cities of New York, NY; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA; St Louis, MO; Washington, DC; Greenville and Columbia, SC; Atlanta, GA; Austin and Fort Worth, TX; Miami, FL; Richmond, BC, Canada; Copenhagen, Denmark; Zug, Switzerland; and Perth, Australia.
He has received several awards and distinctions; including a grant from Vasari Paints, NY; fellowship from Wildacres Foundation, NC; and honors from the SC Art Commission. His writings on contemporary art and education have been published by Temporary Art Review and the Paris College of Art Press. He serves on the board of FATE (Foundations in Art: Theory and Education) as editor of FATE in Review, an academic journal focused on higher education and visual culture. He has held academic appointments at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities and the University of South Carolina Upstate.
